It’s full name is Intel SATA Storage Device RAID Controller. File Size & Location. The iaStor.sys file is stored under C: Windows System32 drivers directory. It’s not a dangerous file or virus if it is located under mentioned folder. On an average the file size is about 872 Kb. Although the IaStor.sys file won’t be visible on Windows Task.

Note: While performing chkdsk on the hard drive if any bad sectors are found on the hard drive when chkdsk tries to repair that sector if any data available on that might be lost.
